Bryce Canyon
Today is a "free" day and Carole & I are NOT going sightseeing! We are doing chores and catching up on the blog! Thursday we toured Bryce Canyon and so far I think it is my favorite. Each canyon has a different look - Bryce reminds me of cotton candy because of the coral color and airy feel it has in its formations. We signed up for a guided tour and then went back and took Latte for a car ride at sunset to view Sunset Point. It was a marvelous day.
A couple pictures to give you an idea of the formations - the columns are called Hoodoos!
One section of Bryce is called the Ampitheatre and this picture captures just a part of it - it is awesome in real life! We were warned not to put our cameras, ipods or keys down at this overlook because of the wildlife pictured below.
There are 2 Ravens who live here, Frick & Frack, and we were told that they are highly intelligent, and also steal things!
They finally took me out for a car ride at sunset and let me look at the wildlife - but what a tease! They wouldn't let me out of the car!! The picture above shows the male mule deer & below are the females
I even got to see chipmunks - but I couldn't play with them!
